He played for Atletico Madrid from 2010 to 2014 where he scored 43 goals in 94 caps and was loaned to Rayo Vallecano. He joined Chelsea in 2014 and has scored 52 goals in 87 appearances through May 2017. Costa has also represented Brazil and Spain in international competition. He was the Copa del Rey top scorer in 2012-13 and was selected to the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season for 2013-14. Costa won the La Liga, Copa del Rey, and UEFA Super Cup twice with Atletico Madrid. With Chelsea he won the Premier League twice and the League Cup once.
