He served as a player-manager for Chelsea from 1996 to 1998 and became the manager of Newcastle United from 1998 to 1999. Gullit managed Feyenoord from 2004 to 2005, LA Galaxy from 2007 to 2008, and Terek Grozny in 2011. He captained the Netherlands team that won the UEFA Euro 1988 and set a world record transfer fee when he went from PSV to Milan. He won three Serie A titles as well as two European Cups for Milan.
