Intuit went public on the American stock exchange Cook in 1993. A year later Soctt resigned as CEO from day to day operations. He still remains its largest single shareholder. Scott and his wife Signe Ostby are the founders of the Scott Cook & Signe Ostby Foundation, which has donated tens of millions of dollars to charity over the years. The pair donated $14 million to her alma mater, the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin, to start the first university center in the country that will be focused on brand and product management. They have three children. Their son Karl Cook married Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco in 2018.
